Our Avionics team manufactures sensors for commercial and military customers across the world. We are currently searching for a Sr Supervisor of Manufacturing to join our team in Wilson, NC. We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented candidate to continue to drive our vision and support the Commercial Avionics products. Establishes objectives and guidelines for managing and monitoring cell performance and productivity. directs scheduling and sequencing of work, as well as adoption of lean methods including VSM to optimize production.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ensures all quality related items for one cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.

Assists in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

Assists in scheduling for one cell so that production schedules are met.

Assists in sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for a cell to optimize productivity.

Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution of a cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.

Monitors cell performance and productivity of a cell to maximize productivity.

Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing, of a cell to enhance the cell’s production capabilities.

Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services.

Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.

Delegate effectively to develop personnel and effectively balance the workload.

Address employee issues/concerns and motivate the workforce to achieve department goals.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clear, concise and effective communicator.

Experience working with all levels of management and working in a union environment.

Proven track record in team leadership roles.

Highly self-directed, quick learner, strong drive and results driven.

Experience with Continuous Improvement principles (lean manufacturing, ACE, QCPC, etc.).

Proficiency in SAP.
