Job Description

The Sr. Network Support Engineer will join the team of Network Engineers who are responsible for the design, engineering and high performance operation of Teva’s global enterprise network. This role will be responsible for handling global network engineering projects, high level and low level design (HLD & LLD), testing and evaluating new technologies and architecture, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network problems and proactively monitoring the network infrastructure. Additionally, this role will be responsible for escalation of regional network issues in the America’s region.

Main responsibilities of the role

  • Design and engineer solutions for the Teva enterprise network in the datacenters and in campuses
  • Execute global network engineering projects and support infrastructure projects
  • Operate, maintain and upgrade global WAN connectivity between Teva offices and to the internet
  • Provide level 3 support for network incidents and requests.
  • Setup and maintain the network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Installation of network hardware and software.
  • Proactively monitor and ensure performance and availability.
  • Respond to critical network incidents and take ownership of the tickets and work through to resolution.
  • Open problem ticket with device vendors and service providers and ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform configuration changes and maintenance activities.
  • Represent changes in CAB meetings.
  • Monitor and perform maintenance of network devices and tools.
  • Familiar with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
  • Follow Teva policies, procedures and GxP methodologies.
  • Participate in 24×7 on-call rotation as required.


Education and Knowledge Requirements

  • Engineering/Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent field
  • Leading certifications in Networking (CCNA, CCIE etc)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Network engineering /operations
  • Global enterprise experience preferred

Skills and Capabilities

  • Highly knowledgeable in network technologies (WAN, datacenter networks and campus LAN).
  • Good understanding of following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering and firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF); Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet
  • Experience with Cisco, HP/Aruba, Riverbed tools and technologies.
  • Basic understanding of VMware Virtualization, Storage Area Networks, Hyperconverged Systems and Operating Systems (Windows and Unix/Linux).
  • Proficient in network problem diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations.
  • Ability to develop good professional working relationships with IT colleagues.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of prioritizing and managing workload.
