Sr. Business Analyst- Online

As a member of the Hospital System Solutions Team, the Senior Business Analyst-Online Ordering will support the GMR brand promise of responsive, reliable, and respected by implementing and supporting day-to-day operations of GMR’s Online Ordering system. The Senior Business Analyst will implement and support customer self-service systems, including analysis of GMR business Units, Customer, and user needs, documenting requirements, implementing solutions, and analyzing outcomes. GMR’s Online Ordering is comprised of an intuitive self-service web portal that empowers customers to order and monitor the status of medical transportation online. The goal of this system is to provide an easy-to-use interface that enhances service delivery for customers while streamlining communication center operations.


  • Support “Sales” by using the defined process to ensure the goals of the team are achieved.
  • Recognize the needs of the customer and provide detailed information to the customer about the features and benefits of the software solution offered by GMR.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with GMR Business Units and Customers
  • Interact with customers to gather business requirements by identifying, defining, and documenting business needs and objectives, current operational procedures and challenges.
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations with live demos and/or pitch decks
  • Analysis of GMR business unit requirements
  • System demonstrations, implementation, configuration, testing, training, and ongoing customer-facing support
  • Liaise with internal teams (CAD Team, Billing Team, Information Technology Team, etc.) to ensure downstream systems are configured for efficient online ordering
  • Ability to travel nationwide as needed
  • Assist in Training and Support
  • Assist with the development of training materials to instruct online ordering users in how to use the system. Assist with the creation of updates to users for new features and versions
  • Assist with the development of marketing collateral, which introduces online ordering to prospective customers.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with users ensuring they are informed of any changes in the system and have a mechanism to report issues and make suggestions for improvement
  • Assist in monitoring and supporting the online ordering system with emphasis on system adoption and utilization as well as ease-of-use.
  • Assist with new system/feature functionality reviews and user acceptance testing for system enhancements and new software versions
  • Acts as a liaison between end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and leadership in the analysis, design, implementation, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal operational performance and customer service.
  • Consults with functional management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements.
  • Assists with the development of training curriculum and conducts formal training sessions covering assigned systems.
  • Maintains systems configuration and standardized reference information.

  • Defines and documents customer business functions and processes
  • Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the business (GMR) and users (Customers).
  • Tracks and fully documents change for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and operational changes.
  • Reads and interprets systems and functional technical literature and translates in terms understandable to the end-users.
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts business process reengineering/improvement projects.
  • Researches and prepares statistical reports using data. Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.


  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, Change Management related field preferred or equivalent experience preferred


  • Experience in business process analysis/improvement, computer systems implementations, change management, analytics relating to customer service and/or communications / dispatch / Air Medical and or Ambulance Operations
  • Experience in coordination of Air or Ground medical transportation, operations, emergency dispatch communications / call center customer service delivery preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding the philosophy of “Software as a Service”
  • Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between people, process, and technology especially as it relates to service delivery and process improvement
  • Demonstrated skill in successfully coaching staff / customers (users) through complex change
  • Skilled in developing business process specifications; procedures and methods for testing business functions within computer systems; principles and practices of producing effective project documentation including business functions, manuals, and configuration documentation
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems, evaluate and integrate business processes and procedures; apply creative thinking in the use of communications systems and develop innovative business processes
  • Knowledge of ambulance company operations, communications and dispatch, CAD and other communications systems and ambulance field operations is preferred, including general knowledge in the following areas:
  • Medical care/medical transportation (patient care issues, how patients are transported by ambulance, required documentation, common issues which arise during transport and/or billing)
  • Hospital processes, including functions and processes of Emergency Rooms, Admissions, Discharges and Transfers.
  • Demand planning, contract compliance, unit hour production, resource management, response time performance, customer satisfaction
  • Data analysis and interpretation of results
  • Performance metrics and the wide variety of processes which impact performance
  • A variety of CAD systems and approaches to EMS command and control

More Information about this Job

Starting Compensation: $70K-$75K annum

The company offers benefit eligible employees medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as Paid Time Off, disability plans, paid holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Expected salary: $70000 – 75000 per year
