As a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Demand Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc, the role will require you to build and publish Micron’s monthly S&OP demand plan in accordance with corporate strategies and priorities. This plan must be optimized across various constraints and priorities of Global Operations, Business Units, Corporate Strategy, and Finance. In the role the primary interface between Demand Management, Business Operations, and Sales and Operations Planning organization throughout each S&OP cycle. You will be responsible for working with all BU collaborators and demand planners to summarize and communicate the changes in the unconstrained consensus inputs, coordinating any modifications to the demand inputs needed to support scenario analysis, and ensuring the overall accuracy and alignment to strategic objectives of the constrained demand signal prior to final plan publication. You will also support transformation initiatives, process improvement projects and activities, and build and drive improvement to overall S&OP process efficiency and effectiveness. This position will be directly, driving alignment towards the company’s financial, market and operations strategy which is recognized by all organizations.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Publish 3-year supply feasible constrained consensus demand and sales plan.
Highlight and drive resolution to planning issues associated with compiling the S&OP Plan that include:
Excess and shortage to projected inventory targets
Gaps between roadmap strategy, manufacturing capability, and market demands.
Ensure forecast updates are completed accurately and align with published expectations.
Ensure the unconstrained and constrained consensus inputs are aligned with established business unit targets and objectives
Highlight and review key changes in the unconstrained demand forecast and supporting assumptions Optimize constrained consensus across various constraints and priorities of Global Operations, Sales, Business Units, Corporate Strategy and Finance Collaborate with demand planers, sales and operations planners, and BU collaborators to understand demand priorities, risks and opportunities, and business impacts
Serve as the single point of contact for final publication of the constrained consensus forecast
Represent business unit strategies and customer support objectives to facilitate crafting the supply response
Lead or participate in reviews of the Sales & Operations plan
Build, take on, and communicate impacts of various what-if scenarios for executive approval
Collaborate with key collaborators to drive continuous improvement efforts
Prior experience as a Supply or Demand Analyst, S&OP Analyst, or Global Supply Chain related field
Strong communication, teamwork, and facilitation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
Proven track record to lead and to facilitate effective decision making in difficult situations
Flexible and adaptable are terms that describe you; you’re able to work in ambiguous situations and resolve a path forward
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
