Conduent Senior Manager, Proposal Management 2022-65333

Our Request for Proposal team’s mission is to create best-in-class, client-focused, responsive, and compliant proposals that convert to wins. This role functions as a liaison between internal stakeholders to coordinate on initial request, monitoring progress, answering questions, and evaluating the responses, of the in process submitting of bids for health and benefit services.

We are seeking a candidate who must be able to manage entire proposal process from initial meeting to proposal delivery. Must ensure 100% compliance with proposal requirements; 100% of proposals must be submitted by client-provided deadline. Establish and maintain a compliant outline, a proposal schedule, a compliance matrix (as necessary), style convention guidelines, and be adept at overall RFP analysis. Must be very dependable and possess exceptional customer service skills. Must have experience as a proposal manager in a proposal management organization for at least five years.

Job Description

  • Manages the requirements gathering process by understanding the needs of the potential or existing client and properly explaining those needs within the RFP
  • Coordinate the creation of the RFP by working with several internal team members to determine exactly what the organizational challenge or pain is and what solutions would best solve the problem at hand
  • Ensures key stakeholder roles are represented throughout the development and issuance of the RFP and coordinates stakeholder meetings
  • Engage internal stakeholders with the initial request, monitor progress, answer questions, and evaluate the responses
  • Determines, with the support of SMEs, if third party support should be secured to develop the RFP and coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure available funding to support RFI and/or RFP development
  • Ensures technical requirements are identified and documented and are accurately and consistently communicated throughout the RFI and/or RFP
  • Oversees compliance and/or conformance testing (if needed as a part of the RFP process)
  • Ensures all business requirements are identified and documented and reviews comments from the RFI and/or RFP Evaluation Team(s)
  • Ensures organizational leadership is kept up to date on the status of the RFP and any risks that may arise
  • Actively participates in client meeting and drives client decisions to conclusion
  • Responsible for securing New Logos (new clients) and expanding New Capabilities within existing customers
  • Responsible for growing our Annual Contract Value and Total Contract Values
  • Documents Standard Operating Procedures and works to enhance the existing process through process improvement and automation efforts
  • Tracks and reports on the status and success of each RFP on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Can work in an individual contributor capacity or manager a team of proposal coordinators.
  • Able to manage complex projects.
  • Reviews new bids that are assigned to determine requirements, resources and responses that will be necessary.
  • Sets up all status calls and project updates as well as runs all meetings.
  • Follows up with specific individual assigned to specific tasks to understand status and determine if additional resources required.
  • Engages in sales preparation with sales lead with offering support for client visits.
  • Manages overall project timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • Must have 5+ years of proposal management experience directly producing winning proposals
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, Adobe Professional, and SharePoint with preferred experience with MS-Project and MS-Visio
  • Must possess the knowledge and understanding of industry proposal best practices in federal government contracting
  • Ability to research, interpret, and analyze precedent decisions, laws, and regulations
  • Proven executive level presentation skills, both internal and external to the company
  • Superior organizational skills, with special attention to detail, and time management skills are essential.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and display professionalism is essential.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and leading multiple proposal efforts
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills
