Purpose of the Position:

The Senior Graphic Designer & Digital Specialist serves in a support role for the in-house creative team. They are responsible for producing and overseeing digital and print creative solutions to address our marketing needs, translating strategies and stories into highly engaging experiences. The role will use in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques as well as experience executing marketing projects from conception to production, assisting the Creative Services Manager in all phases of creative development. Work will range from digital collateral, landing pages, microsites, web assets, environmental graphics, social media content, print communication, presentations, email communications, infographics, videos, and more.

The position will create visual concepts, present ideas, and incorporate feedback from the team demonstrating creativity and flexibility to conceptualize for the big picture as well as work through the smaller details of our site and campaigns.

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee design projects, from conception to delivery

Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics

Refine images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software

Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services

Increase user friendliness and improve user experiences across digital platforms

Use established corporate guidelines to maintain brand consistency throughout all marketing projects

Work with marketing and design teams on projects related to MarCom initiatives in support of corporate and LOB goals and objectives and ensure deadlines are met

Use established procedures to create and maintain pages on corporate website, and intranet – including forms, and various micro sites

Serve as a back up for Web Master/Developer on updates, postings, distributions and other routine functions.

Setup and use AV equipment for internal and external meetings, recording video, and editing for internal and external usage

Understands campaign automation and can assist with creating assets planning, and executing automations.

Works with vendors in both traditional and digital media to work through production issues

Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools

Work Experience Requirements:

5-7 years working experience in developing content for corporate media

Portfolio of completed design projects

Demonstrates knowledge of content development including print collateral, digital and web design, video production (including setup and use of AV equipment), and other emerging technologies.

Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts with attention to visual details

Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite of products including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premier, After Effects, and more

Campaign Automation experience

Demonstrates an understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Experience creating and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint pages

Excellent understanding and technical knowledge with digital development processes

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in graphic design, digital media or a related discipline required or comparable skills and / work experience.
