Description

GENERAL SCOPE:

Manages a large book of accounts across multiple market sectors. The primary responsibility is to drive growth in unique markets, while reinforcing the Solenis Brand. Key supporting activities include maintaining revenue and gross profit, working closely with key customers on technical and business projects and needs, and exploring new potential markets and applications.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Grow business and develop new applications North America.
  • Work closely with extended Solenis team (includes Process Technology, Regional Marketing, Manufacture, Regulatory, Pricing, MarComm, Applications, etc.) to manage market needs, inquiries, and maintain profitable business base.
  • Establish, maintain, and prioritize an accurate and current sales funnel in SFDC. Manage profitability of the business book.
  • Manage sales & technical relationships with engineered wood customers as well as with other customers and markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in a science, biology, chemistry, or engineering field or equivalent experience
  • Proven sales skills with experience within the pulp and paper industry.
  • Demonstrated good account management practices with the ability to grow sales.
  • Must be eager and capable to move into more responsible roles
  • Strong work ethic
  • Focus on safety
  • Common computer/software skills, Microsoft
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to think quickly and manage through ambiguity are important traits for this role. Requires extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects and the technical phases of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
