Role: Sales Engineer (Virtual Data Capture: ePRO, eCOA, eConsent “VDC” and Electronic Data Capture “EDC”)

Location: Candidates must be based in California (WFH), Nevada (Hybrid), or Florida (WFH).

ClinCapture is looking for a Sales Engineer who is passionate and knowledgable about Cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions in the clinical research and digital health space. This person will be a subject matter expert in our Captivate eClinical suite. The Sales Engineer is a spokesperson for our products and will educate current and potential customers about our solutions for their clinical trials through product demonstrations, webinars, and customer training sessions. The Sales Engineer supports the sales team throughout the entire sales cycle including technical demonstrations, RFIs, sandbox walk-throughs, and internal and external training sessions. This person should be able to quickly identify pain points and introduce solutions to prospects and customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remarkable product demos and align customer needs with the value of ClinCapture eClinical solutions
  • Support our sales reps in successfully transitioning prospects into customers
  • Support our sales team by serving as the technical lead and owner of technical deal strategy
  • Identify and uncover customer business goals, needs, and pains
  • Communicate findings to Product, Engineering, Marketing and Sales
  • Support our product team by iterating on our User Guides and Release Notes when applicable
  • Respond to RFIs/RFPs
  • Prepare sales materials including PowerPoint presentations, web presentations, software demonstrations, etc.


  • Technical expertise, outstanding presentation skills, and excellent communication, both internally and externally
  • Securing the “technical close” in complex solutions
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Strategy development and implementation skills
  • Excellent problem solving abilities


  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in a customer-facing technical role such as product management, sales engineer, etc.
  • Proficient use of software packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & CRM systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in the software industry, particularly Software as a Service
  • Experience using/demonstrating eClinical Systems is a plus
  • Proficient in JavaScript is a plus

Expected salary: $100000 – 150000 per year
