Department Profile

Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying, and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships, and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.

Primary Responsibilities

Project integration focusing on Reg T and Reg U Margin calculations.

Objectives include analysis of potential lending guideline changes, forecasting impact of new project or regulatory control implementations, assisting with test scripts and testing and working closely with Business, Credit and Risk and IT stakeholders to deliver releases

Data analysis focusing on stress testing portfolios for industry, sector, country risk, and market dislocation exposures

Combine data analytics and strategic planning to prioritize work backlog, create innovative solutions and drive business decisions through benefit metrics

Process automation with Access, Excel VBA, SQL, JavaScript, and Python

Training, development, and management of team members and oversight of key projects and initiatives

Interface with stakeholders and senior management to align strategies, report progress, achievements, significant issues, key metrics, and risks

Qualifications

Desired Competencies

-Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred not required

-Three to Five plus years of experience in financial services preferred not required

-Prior experience in coaching and guiding the development of other key members

-Ability to work independently as well as collaborate on projects

-Excellent organization and problem-solving skills

-Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate one?s rationale

-Continuous learning and drive to create innovative solutions

-Technical (Preferred: MS Office, SQL, VBA, Python, etc.)

-Self-starter

-Interest in project work

-Knowledge of Private Banking or Broker Dealer Security Based Lending or Traded Products

Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

This role requires that all successful applicants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment and provide proof of such vaccinations within 3 days of commencement of employment.
