Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager (Level K) who will be responsible for managing the BDS F-15 and T-7A Aircraft Structural Integrity Program Analysis Team in St. Louis, MO. This leadership position will support both the programmatic and technical fatigue support to the production line as well as sustainment support of the domestic and foreign aging aircraft fleets. Boeing is looking for an engineering manager with familiarity with military structural requirements and an aptitude to lead and manage several technical disciplines as a part of an integrated team.

Position Responsibilities:

Support hiring activities, staff forecasting, and staffing to plan.

Coach employees on technical, functional, team skills, and career goals.

Evaluate and share business requirements against cost, schedule, and technical constraints.

Work closely with other engineering managers, program managers, and external customers.

Acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements.

Manage employees performing activities within multiple engineering disciplines.

Ability to travel up to 10% of work time.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelors degree or greater from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

Experience with military aircraft structures and structural requirements.

5+ years of experience as an engineer in structural engineering or a related field.

1+ years of experience leading teams/projects.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work.

Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines, production and/or regulatory organizations.

Strong leadership, project management, team building, people developments skills to develop and motivate employees.

Experience with software toolsets used for structural and fatigue analysis.

Experience as a CAM, responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance.
