In this role your work will be of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general practices, policies and standards. Your work will involve complex manufacturing problems including the need to troubleshoot and follow issues to resolve.

You will handle engineering projects with plants and/or Manufacturing Engineering Staffs and will lead a team of process engineers within a Machining area. You will be responsible for equipment related to the manufacturing process. In this position your use of independent discernment required. You will use substantial independent judgment in complex or unusual situations. Your responsibility may involve training others and assigning work to a small group of employees.

  • You will analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes
  • You will propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area
  • Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area
  • You will provide technical support for specific plant operations
  • You will interact on a regular basis with design, product and manufacturing engineering staffs
  • Provide direction to engineering support group and vendors
  • You will evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment
  • Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology
  • Work will involve providing technical direction to less experienced process engineers
  • Work will involve managing day to day activities of a team of engineers, including setting objectives, managing results, and evaluating/coaching individual performance
  • Supporting Throughput Improvement Teams (TIP)
  • Supporting Business Plan Deployment (BPD) teams and coordinating engineering activities to achieve Business Plan objectives

Preferred Requirements:

  • 4-6 Years Manufacturing Process Experience
  • 4-6 Years Global Vehicle Development Process Experience
  • Experience Leading Teams
  • Stakeholder Management Experience
  • Project Management Experience

Bachelors Degree in Engineering Required
