What You’ll Do/Responsibilities

  • Answer and process all telephone requests for assigned accounts
  • Gather required information for quoting a new account/new line of business
  • Field underwrite, quote, and propose new business to customer
  • Build, expand, and solidify relationships with customers at all levels within the company and lead appropriate resources to address the customer’s needs – including risk identification and resolution of underwriting or policy issues
  • Complete a personal risk management evaluation for customer
  • Issue policies in adherence to company guidelines
  • Provide existing clients with certificates of insurance, process changes, report claims, etc.
  • Process daily mail, faxes, and e-mails, for assigned accounts
  • Enter all required data into AMS and Google Drive to maintain current file data on all assigned accounts
  • Review new applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the company’s carriers
  • Maintain expiration records
  • Renewal marketing, including quoting, of assigned personal lines risks
  • Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, evidence of property insurance, auto ID cards, and cancellations as defined in the company procedure manual
  • Prepare agency billed billings and/or invoices on a timely basis
  • Assist in the collection of premiums as defined in the procedure manual
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the various carriers’ rating plans and programs
  • Maintain knowledge of the carrier’s coverages
  • Maintain favorable relationships with customers, producers, and employees
  • Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of personal lines coverages and trends
  • Meet with customers as needed
  • Perform clerical functions
  • Other duties as needed

What You’ll Need/Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Florida P&C License (4-40 or 2-20)
  • 2+ years personal lines insurance experience, preferred
  • Overall account management
  • Ability to handle new and renewal submission
  • Prior experience quoting binding and issuing policies
  • Experience working with multiple carriers and rating systems
  • Familiarity with AMS systems and other insurance technology products such as comparative raters.
  • Good technical knowledge of coverage in all personal lines insurance coverage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to initiate and foster customer rapport
  • Experience maintaining client relationships
  • Proven customer service and sales skills
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Excellent organization and prioritizing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to self-direct the completion of job duties

Expected salary: $60000 – 70000 per year
