Job description: POSITION SUMMARY: Expedites and oversees special requests from the Front Desk. Responsible for answering all incoming calls and consistently updating the status of rooms. Coordinate all room vacancies, express checkouts, and other reservation status changes on a daily basis. Employees must work well as a team, maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and gaming regulations.
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: 21 years of age
Answers incoming calls from both guests and internal departments with a warm friendly greeting.
Logs all incoming calls.
Dispatch guest requests to Housekeeping personnel.
Able to work as a Front Desk Clerk as needed based on business demands.
Ensure that guest needs and special requests are met.
Check status of “out of order” rooms
Responsible for placing all guest requests to the housekeeping department, documenting the request, & guest follow up.
Complete any back to back reservation extensions
Review Sales group resumes and block rooms based on special requests, etc.
Pre-assign all hotel special requests.
Promote and maintain constant communication between all departments.
Must be able to work under a variety of stressful situations.
Must be able to assist leadership team with ordering inventory
Must be able to assist Front Desk with check in/check outs
Must be able to assist in selling of supplies
Adheres to departmental and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Answers questions about Harrah’s facilities and services.
Individual must be highly motivated and self-directed. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, team-building and problem-solving skills required. Computer knowledge to include Word and Excel is preferred. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work with a flexible schedule. Must perform duties with a sense of urgency. Must be able to speak, write, read and understand. Must have the ability to calmly handle stressful situations and be willing to work any day and any shift. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board.
