Job Purpose

  • The Global IT and Functions Data Management and Governance Lead Financial Analyst will support data management of all financial planning and reporting for National Grid’s Global IT and Functions organizations
  • This role is required interact with the US and UK IT and Functions FP&A teams to collaborate in support of managing the financials of their functions
  • Work with Finance Business Partnering teams (FBPs) and other US and UK FP&A teams to meet companywide financial and strategic objectives
  • Build and maintain data management and governance to enable effective and timely tracking of key Global IT and Functions metrics, reporting on financial results, development of commentary and performance of ad hoc analyses

Key Accountabilities

  • Be available as key resource for US and UK FP&A and FBP teams with regard to IT and Functions financial data management and modeling
  • Collaborate with US and UK FP&A teams in the development of effective forecast financial models
  • Lead on behalf of Global IT and Functions FP&A on the design and implementation of National Grid’s Plan to Perform team’s new forecasting tool
  • Build and support tools to assist and the analysis and consolidation of key IT and Functions financial data
  • Collaborate with FBPs to develop, drive and challenge business assumptions that are critical to each relevant stakeholder or function in respect of short-term results and longer-term strategy
  • Support the development of consistent Global IT and Functions financial reporting by leveraging available systematic tools
  • Support regional and global ad-hoc requests and work collaboratively with the US and UK IT and Functions FP&A teams to support key investment decisions, prospective rate filings, audit requests, etc.
  • Support the requirements, governance, and timeline of the overarching plan to perform process
  • Support the analysis to ensure ensure proper allocations to National Grid operating companies and business units, both in the US and the UK
  • Work with peers within the US and UK IT and Functions FP&A and FBP teams to drive an inclusive and collaborative Global team environment.
