Job description: The Director of Sales will be responsible for the daily operations of the Sales department to include but not limited to:
Develop an annual business plan in coordination with the Corporate Revenue and Commercial Strategy team.
Direct operations and sales efforts to align with sales strategy as outlined in the business plan.
Meeting and/or exceeding budget targets to include but not limited to, Occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR indices.
Management of lead generation sites and resources for market segment determination and Sales Manager assignment.
Utilizing market intelligence and reporting analytics to drive new business development, account penetration and maintenance, prospecting calls and outside appointments.
Maintaining a positive and consistent community presence through networking events, industry conferences, volunteer opportunities, and professional memberships.
Communication of account, group, meeting, and event booking requirements through use of BEOs and resumes, ensuring all departments are informed and equipped to deliver exceptional service.
Oversee completion of required training within the department and related sales training for operational team members ensuring all members are knowledgeable of services and amenities, loyalty programs, and access to relevant resources.
Drive guest retention through the development, training and oversight of guest experience processes and programs.
Provide market insights, keeping thumb on the pulse of city-wide events, comp-set developments, and governmental policies to ensure the revenue strategy team are equipped with up-to-date impacts to market demand.
Coordinate marketing and collateral needs with the Commercial Strategy team to align with sales strategy including social media content, media spend, in-market advertising opportunities and brand messaging
