Description of Duties

Killington/Pico resort seeks a Creative Services Manager to direct creative output for the Resorts’ brands from concept stages through production. This role is responsible for the visual representation of the resort across print, web, photography and videography. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of the ski/snowboard industry and mountain culture, as well as the ability to understand and anticipate the needs of internal and external teams to find creative solutions to meet marketing goals and objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage strategic creative direction, website design and visual presence of resort marketing content and materials to help reach our customers, increase revenues, communicate effectively, and create operational efficiencies.
  • Includes working with creative agency, consultants, and internal planning teams to assure efficient processes are implemented and to coordinate projects with overlapping responsibilities.
  • Develop, manage, and enforce – with assistance from creative agency – resort brand standards and guidelines.
  • Provide creative direction to creative agency ensuring brand standards and resort objectives are being met.
  • Includes working with internal planning teams to develop project concepts and ongoing collaboration due to overlapping responsibilities.
  • Provide creative direction to graphic designers ensuring brand standards are being met.
  • Assist graphic designer in developing solutions for projects not easily aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Assist with graphic design projects based on project schedule and deadlines.
  • Manage, schedule, and direct all photography projects for internal and third-party photographers, ensuring results are on-brand and up to resort standards.
  • Assist with distribution strategies including but not limited to website, social media, email and media.
  • Manage, schedule, and direct all videography projects for internal and third-party videographers ensuring results are on-brand and up to resort standards.
  • Assist with distribution strategies including but not limited to website, social media, email and media.
  • Oversee the management of the resort’s digital asset management systems keeping assets current and available to stake holders including internal storage and external sharing systems.
  • Utilize digital reporting and analytics to inform and verify content strategy.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

  • General direction is received from the marketing manager with direction given by the resort leadership team.
  • Direct management of graphic designer and digital content coordinators.
  • Daily collaboration with the marketing copywriter, email and digital marketing specialist and communications/PR managers required to be an effective and productive member of the marketing team.

Requirements

Creative and Interactive Services Manager should have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, or related field plus four years of experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.

  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals/organizations in and outside of the company.
  • Familiarity with the ski industry and Killington Resort required.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel; Microsoft PowerPoint; Adobe CC; database management; photography/videography equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines without compromise.
