Job description: Responsibilities
- Understand, adhere to and implement company and department policies and procedures.
Provides excellent customer service at all time internally and externally.
Process claims batch payments, monthly capitation payment, and supporting documents timely and accurately.
Handle daily incoming mails, phone call, and payment queues from Customer Service and Claims departments.
Completes summary of deposits, including copies of checks and deposit slips.
Process payment posting with proper GL coding, particular attention to assignment of accounting paperwork.
Provide customer service support and conduct research on various returned and exception items and complete actions based on results.
Input A/P invoices with proper GL coding and process payment timely and accurately.
Interacts with vendors, purchasing and other departments for information, problem solving and research. * Assists in special projects and miscellaneous duties, as assigned.
- High school diploma required; College level courses in Finance/Accounting desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in accounting environment including A/P and A/R.
- Experience working in health care and/or managed care industry preferred.
