Associate Creative Director, Sierra

Our Associate Creative Director for Sierra, a multichannel brand, will lead an in-house creative team in the development and implementation of the applicable brand expression. Provides vision and oversight of creative teams to effectively translate strategy into brand enhancing and revenue-generating initiatives with a focus on the digital and in-store customer experience.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Interprets brand platforms and strategies to develop high-quality marketing campaigns that seamlessly integrate the needs of a fast paced, rapidly evolving multi-channel business – building the brand, driving to site and driving to store.

Data-driven leader who understands how to coordinate brand, business, and customer contexts to drive traffic and conversion through content and design including: social and digital media, email, site/web design, UX creative design, video, in-store signage/marketing, store grand opening marketing, and direct mail.

Effectively manages third party/external resources to deliver creative execution.

Understands trends in brand, design, media, and retail and can translate insights into current creative concepts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborates with Brand, Project Management, Visual Merchandising (for ecommerce brands), Media, Digital Marketing, and Insights and Analytics teams to deliver performance-driven, customer centric creative content.

Liaises with Creative, Media, and PR agencies to fulfill integrated marketing campaigns throughout the year.

Generates and inspires teams to generate conceptual ideas that can be translated into commercialized creative work

Manages a team of designers and writers charged with executing creative content at a rapid pace for an integrated marketing strategy with a focus on digital as well as print and 3D design

Leads and develops strong teams including the ongoing growth of capabilities to mirror the consumer and media landscape

Enables collaborative and flexible team work

Acts as mentor to staff


Proven talent and strong design sense (several well-produced, big idea campaigns)

Proven ability to work in all media with a heavy concentration in digital

Proven understanding of store design and visual merchandising

Excellent communication skills

Ability to prioritize multiple projects while managing budget and timeline

Demonstrated ability to understand data/KPI performance and translate into creative work

Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

Extensive understanding of photography, video, illustration, print process, typography, 2 and 3D design, digital media and associated production

Experience collaborating with external creative, media, and PR agencies

Ecommerce and ecommerce product photography experience

Has managed a medium to large creative staff

10+ years of related work experience at internal or external agencies
