Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Chief of Public Safety. This position is responsible for all administrative support to the Public Safety Division and leadership team which includes quality customer service, form routing, answering phones, calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings, able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, assisting with projects, Pcard and OK Corral purchases, update confidential filling systems, prepare travel request, assist with payroll monitoring, preparing HR forms, interpreting OSU policies, and update daily/monthly financials.
This position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
Other duties as assigned by the Chief of Public Safety and Sr. Manager of Fiscal and Business Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Highschool/GED
Requires five years of related professional experience.
Ability to problem solve, meet deadlines, make timely decisions, and maintain strict confidentiality with all matters. Have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience with improving office operations. Possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, and proactively anticipates needs. Demonstrate the ability to provide direction and work successfully with a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field
Related experience with human resources type areas such as, management experience, employee relations, personnel management, recruitment, classification, and payroll processes
